• Advise and register undeclared students courses in the first semester.
• Direct students on how to reach information to understand academic requirements and regulations at AUC.
• Answer questions about courses and prerequisites for each major.
• Provide academic guidance to help students toward their preferred major.
• Advise undeclared students on the best possible use of the University’s academic resources.
• Empower students to make their own decisions by providing guidance on exploring their options, based on their personal abilities, interests and goals.
• Provide students on probation with guidance resources to support academic improvement
• Familiarize students with the Core Curriculum and liberal arts education.

• Have an opinion on professors.
• Comment on the easiness or difficulty of a course. An easy course is something personal and relative.
• Drop/add courses beyond drop/ add week.
• Choose a specific course from a Core curriculum or major category.
• Make choices on a student’s behalf.

• Ensure that their course selections align  with AUC requirements and regulations,  according to the AUC catalog of their year of admission.
• Take responsibility for their course selections.
