About CASA@AUC
About the Program
CASA@AUC is a 12-month Arabic Language and Culture Immersion Program tailored for advanced students of all nationalities. Applicants must have completed at least three years of Arabic language study and successfully pass a highly competitive admission process. The program is well-suited for dedicated, research-driven individuals, including senior undergraduates, graduates, and those pursuing or intending to pursue postgraduate studies.
This rigorous academic program offers in-depth instruction in both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and spoken Egyptian dialect, aiming to help students achieve near-native fluency in written and spoken Arabic. The curriculum is theme and content-based, integrating specialized materials with essential skills and real-world tasks.
The program fosters cultural understanding through community engagement, including trips, tours, and lectures that complement classroom learning. This allows students to practice Arabic in the streets of Cairo while gaining insights into Egyptian and Arab culture, values, and traditions.
A limited number of scholarships are available for qualified applicants. Additionally, students who are not awarded scholarships or have external funding can apply to self-finance their participation through the Pay-Your-Own-Way (PYOW) option.
