At the foundation of every AUC student’s education and the heart of the liberal arts experience, the core curriculum covers critical areas including writing, literature, information literacy, philosophy, scientific thinking, Arab history and fundamental classes in the sciences and humanities. 

The First-Year Experience extends orientation for new undergraduate students for a full year, helping students adjust to college life and explore the vast number of educational, cultural and social opportunities at AUC. 

This program encourages participation and connection for first-year students, including first-semester learning community classes and participating in extracurricular activities. 

This program supports community-based learning courses at any level of the curriculum, integrating and acknowledging the ways in which community knowledge strengthens student learning.

This people-to-people program brings together learners of both Arabic and English to meet one another and practice their target languages together.
