Dear AUC Community, 

This month we are introducing a new Energy Conservation Plan to help us save on our energy consumption and utility costs. From Sunday, April 9 to Thursday, April 27 we will be turning off the air conditioning in all New Cairo campus buildings, except the Data Center, SSE Labs, dorms, library, and food court. 

With spring break and the numerous holidays this month, we will have a reduced campus population, as well as relatively moderate temperatures, making this an ideal time to test this plan. 

In addition to realizing cost savings, the plan will help us reduce our carbon footprint and advance our efforts in making our operation more environmentally sustainable.  

We appreciate your patience and support. We would also welcome your ideas on other ways in which AUC can conserve energy, save costs and reduce the impact of our operation on the environment.  For any inquiries or to report any issues, please contact [email protected].
