Dear AUC Community,

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the death of AUC student Ali Saeed Ahmed Al-Batati. An international student from Yemen, Ali was a junior, majoring in political science and a resident of the dorms on campus. He passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. 

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace. We will lower the AUC flags to half-mast for three days.

Counselors from AUC’s Center for Student Well-Being will be available for support in the student residences and to all members of the community.
