Dear AUC Community,

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the death of AUC student athlete Karim Mohamed Aboukoura. He passed away this morning while on a sports trip to the All African University Games in Kenya.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. We will lower the AUC flags to half-mast and close all athletics programs for three days. 

Counselors from AUC’s Center for Student Well-Being will be available to support Karim’s friends and colleagues and all members of the community.
