Dear AUC Community,

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Professor Emeritus Amr Mortagy, Heikal Department of Management.

Professor Mortagy joined the AUC faculty in 1974, and was a valued member of the AUC community for 35 years. In addition to his role as a member of the faculty, he also served as chair of the management department, and as the Dean of the School of Business from 2000 to 2006. Professor Moragy retired from AUC in 2009.

The funeral took place earlier today. 

Condolences will be received at Omar Makram Mosque on Sunday, October 27, after Maghrib prayer.
