Dear AUC Community,
Tomorrow marks the end of our first week of online learning and remote work. Thanks to the heroic efforts of our faculty, the dedicated support of our staff across the University, and the matching resilience and commitment of our students, we have successfully continued our educational mission, while doing our part in the global and local efforts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. We are exploiting the feedback from students, faculty, and staff this week to make continuing refinements in our online teaching and remote working technology, policies, and procedures.
Consistent with the guidelines of the Government of Egypt and international health organizations, we will extend our online learning and remote work to Thursday, April 16.
Today, this historic global challenge remains far from resolved. The global effort will take much more time ultimately to succeed. We remain dedicated to returning, as soon as responsibly possible, to the full range of on-campus activities. The immediate goal remains to enable our students fully to achieve their spring term milestones in their academic journeys. With our whole community, I remain confident and dedicated to these purposes.
Sincerely,
Francis J. Ricciardone
President
