Staff Training and Development Program

Over the past year, we’ve been in discussions around the need to revitalize AUC’s approach to staff training and development. There is no question that our people are the University’s most valuable asset, despite our awe-inspiring campuses in New Cairo and Tahrir. Dedicated, service-minded and efficient staff colleagues are the essential enablers for all aspects of our academic enterprise.
To ensure we continue to invest in the professional development of our staff, we will be introducing a new staff training and development program with the long-term goal of a robust, tailored program designed to meet institutional goals and foster a work culture built around service, efficiency and care. In December, the human resources office in collaboration with the continuing education school will launch a pilot program to test several customized management and customer service training modules to collect input that will guide the first phase of a more comprehensive training and development program for all staff at AUC. HR will soon be sharing more information about the pilot program. Staff interested in the pilot should speak with their supervisors about volunteering. Participants will be selected for the pilot from units across the University and at all staff levels.
I look forward to the feedback and results of the pilot, and ultimately to a comprehensive program that prioritizes staff as key drivers of innovation and service at AUC.
