Dear AUC Community,

As you know, our plans for Spring 2021 include a mix of partial face-to-face classes and online classes. Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19 cases in Egypt and within the AUC Community, the first month of the Spring semester will be fully online. All classes – even those that are designated as partially face-to-face – will be online from the start of the semester on January 31, 2021, through the entire month of February.

We will continue to monitor the situation on a regular basis, with the intention of resuming face-to-face classes and activities as soon as we can safely do so. In order to protect the health of the AUC community, our decisions will continue to be guided by a number of factors, including the infection rates as well as guidance issued by local and international governmental and health authorities. Based on these, I will issue an update in mid-February regarding the resumption of partially face-to-face classes.
