Hill House - Room 602
The Hill House building was the next addition to the University buildings after Ewart Memorial Hall and Oriental Hall is Hill house. It was named after William Bancroft Hill and his wife, Elise Weyerhaeuser Hill. Hill served on AUC’s board of trustees for about 25 years, including 20 years as chairman. Hill House was built in 1953 as a hostel. It was renovated in 1959 to become the library. It was remodeled in 1985 to house the student center, alumni affairs, and classrooms. The office of the first dean for the new school of sciences and engineering was housed on the fourth floor during the period 1993 – 2001 after which it was moved to the new Falaki Academic Center.
