About Arabic Language Courses (ALNG)
Who is it for?
- The Arabic Language Courses unit (ALNG) caters for degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world who wish to fulfill their Arabic requirements.
- Exchange and study abroad students from other recognized institutions who are not seeking an AUC degree but wish to take AUC courses for academic credit. ALNG courses fulfills the students’ semester-abroad and year-abroad needs, along with their regular courses.
- Native Arabic speaking students, where ALNG offers them elective courses to enhance their career opportunities and expand their knowledge in many different Arabic related topics.
What does it offer?
- Provides regular Arabic language courses for a minimum of 3 credits a course to degree and non-degree students.
- Accommodates all skill levels with courses at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels in both MSA and ECA
- Two tracks for MSA classes: regular and accelerated
- Courses under selected topics cover but are not limited to, reading and writing, Arabic for career purposes, media, Cairo, the City of the Thousand and One Faces, El Ard Bititkallim ‘Arabi; Know Thy World in Arabic and Egyptian culture on film
- Offers fall and spring courses
