CourageousKids Leadership Bootcamp is an immersive experience designed specifically for middle schoolers, ages 11 to 14 years old. This camp embraces the philosophy of experiential learning, where you will actively engage in diverse activities and challenges, fostering personal growth and skill development. You will embark on a transformative journey through a carefully curated program that integrates fun and learning. The camp's curriculum is divided into five distinct days, each focusing on different aspects of personal and social development.
Day 1: Enhancing self-image and goal-setting.
Days 2-3: Navigating peer pressure, communication, and wellness.
Days 4-5: Boundary setting, conflict resolution, self-defense training and culminates with a community impact project.
Language of instruction: Bilingual (Arabic and English)

Duration and Location
- One Week: August 4 – August 8, 2024
- Sessions will run daily from 9 am to 3 pm
- AUC New Cairo campus
- Fridays and Saturdays off
- AUC holidays will be compensated for with extra hours

- EGP 3,700 (price including materials needed)

Who can apply?
Students aged 11 to 14 years.
Certification
All the bootcamp participants will receive a certificate of participation from AUC.
Transportation
The AUC bus service is available for extra fees. Details on the schedule will be shared before the program's start date.
Note that only vaccinated students are allowed to use the bus service.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered at the University residences.
About the Instructor
Neama Attia
Neama Attia holds a master's degree in psychological counseling from Cairo University (2021), a psychological counseling diploma from Cairo University (2020), a psychological counseling and behavior modification diploma from The American University in Cairo (2017), a bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Education Preschool Department from Cairo University (2016).
Attia has designed and facilitated training programs on child psychology, nutrition, sexual harassment prevention, and 21st-century skills for renowned organizations such as UN Women, CARE, and BLESS Egypt. Through interactive workshops, she coaches educators on managing classroom challenges, understanding student needs, and adopting modern teaching approaches. With extensive experience as a curriculum developer, Attia creates training content for refugee teachers and students, ensuring accessible education for vulnerable populations. She has worked closely with organizations like Save the Children, developing critical life skills programs for vulnerable youth through engaging activities and games.
AUC Refund Policy
A 100% refund of the program fees will be offered in the following cases. Cases should be reported at least three weeks before the program's start date.
