Managing Life Challenges: From Psychological Theories to Practice
Maintaining your mental health is essential to leading a happy life.
Learn strategies — grounded in psychological theories — on how to deal with and overcome life’s challenges to maintain and improve your mental health. With the difficulties that might come along each day, negative emotions such as anger, frustration and disappointment might develop, leading to negative beliefs of incompetence and hostility. The negative thoughts could eventually lead to impulsive actions that result in missed opportunities and potential. Through this bootcamp, you will learn how to challenge and replace these negative thoughts with positive ones. This will lead to better mental health, which will improve your relationships and pave the way to a better future. During the bootcamp, you will learn about psychological theories to facilitate self-perception more clearly, appreciate your strengths and acquire strategies to help you work on areas that you need to develop. You will achieve this by utilizing short presentations, group activities and discussions, videos and self-reflective journals. Furthermore, a guest speaker will be invited to share how they overcame life challenges successfully and the strategies they have applied.
