English Language Fellowships
English Language Fellowships are offered to admitted graduate students of the Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) program who need to enroll in remedial English language classes in order to satisfy the English-language graduate admission requirement at AUC. Students may enroll in the Department of English Language Instruction (ELI) full-time intensive program in the fall, spring or summer semesters or in one or more academic English for graduate modules.
Eligibility
- For new graduate degree-seeking students, satisfy AUC graduate admissions requirements for the TAFL program
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Financial need
Duration
- One semester or one summer session subject to renewable once upon review and satisfactory completion of the intermediate or advanced-level course
Award
The fellowship covers 75 percent of the tuition for the Intensive English Program for fall, spring or summer semesters, or full tuition for up to three modules.
