Young Architects: Think Like An Architect

kids in class holding their built pieces

Architecture offers children a new way of perceiving the world and the architectural elements around them. This program aims to develop the participants’ engineering logic and critical vision of their built environment. It fosters their ability to observe buildings, structures, habitats and other elements of cities.

This bootcamp embarks on a group of age-appropriate activities that vary from individual projects, where each participant can have the freedom of self-expression, to group projects that build teamwork spirit. Participants work on 3D models to explore topics such as habitats around the world, structural systems, landscapes, and urban planning. They also learn how concepts like scale, proportions and anthropometry affect the built environment.

Going through all those topics helps them increase their respect and responsibility towards their environment, which prepares them to be the responsible future leaders they aspire to be. It also equips them with intrinsic skills of responsibility, autonomy and self-expression,  and awareness of challenges related to our built environment.
