In this bootcamp, you will dive into the realm of robotics using the innovative LEGO Spike system. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this bootcamp will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to create unique robotic inventions. The bootcamp starts by an overview of the essentials of robotics engineering, exploring sensors, motors, and mechanical systems. Through hands-on activities, you will gain proficiency in building and programming your own robots using the LEGO Spike software. As you progress, you will dive into more advanced concepts such as coding, problem-solving, and critical thinking. You will learn to write code and use programming blocks to control your robots' movements, reactions, and interactions with the environment. The bootcamp encourages you to think creatively and innovatively and allows you to customize and personalize your own robots, experimenting with different designs and functionalities.
By the end of the bootcamp, you will gain the skills needed to design and create functional robots that can perform specific tasks and you will be able to showcase your own unique robot project, demonstrating your mastery of robotics engineering and programming.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop a solid understanding of robotics engineering principles, including the use of sensors, motors, and mechanical systems.
- Gain proficiency in programming and coding using the LEGO Spike software.
- Enhance problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities through hands-on challenges and troubleshooting exercises.

Duration and Location
- One week: August 4 – August 8, 2024
- Sessions will run daily from 9 am to 3 pm
- AUC New Cairo campus
- Fridays and Saturdays off
- AUC holidays will be compensated for with extra hours

- EGP 3,700 (price including materials needed)

Students aged 12 - 16 years.
Certification
All the bootcamp participants will receive a certificate of participation from AUC.
Transportation
The AUC bus service is available for extra fees. Details on the schedule will be shared before the program's start date.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered at the University Residences in case needed.
About the Instructors
Yasser Tawfik
With over 15 years of experience in STEM education as being an instructor and curriculum developer to a mentor and entrepreneur. Tawfik's expertise spans a wide array of topics including robotics, game design, electronics, programming, and more.
AUC Refund Policy
A 100% refund of the program fees will be offered in the following cases. If reported at least three weeks before the program's start date.
