Egyptian Migration Hub (EHUB) Endowed Fellowships in Migration and Refugee
As the global and regional discussions and interest around migration have grown, the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies (CMRS) has officially launched the Egyptian Migration HUB (EHUB) in June 2022 in cooperation with and with the support of the EU Delegation in Egypt. EHUB aims at bringing together academics, practitioners, and government officials to discuss important topics of migration governance in Egypt. The ultimate goal is to support such actors in the governance process and support the exchange of experiences and information.
In the second phase of the EHUB that started in September 2024, CMRS in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will sustain and expand the work of the EHUB, as well as carry out research activities concerning Egyptian labor migration and the situation of refugees in Egypt.
In the framework of the EHUB, three fellowships will be awarded to qualified Egyptian students interested in studying in AUC's Migration and Refugee Studies program.
