AUC Hosts Junior Cairo International Model United Nations Conference
More than 2,000 students from over 40 schools in Egypt were at AUC last week for the Junior Cairo International Model United Nations conference to take part in diplomatic simulations.
JCIMUN is an annual high school level conference where students from all around the world are exposed to the work of the United Nations.
Over the course of four days, the student delegates received hands-on cooperative sessions and training on negotiation, public policy, public speaking, international law and debating. Through these experiences, delegates learn the value of opposing viewpoints, experience the challenges of negotiation, witness the rewards of cooperation, expand their world view and acquire traits that are necessary and applicable in any career path.
The sessions are then followed by a conference simulation where the skills are tested and applied.
