“The rise in the number of applications and yield are good indicators of AUC’s continued place as the University of choice in Egypt for applicants,” said Associate Provost for Enrollment Management Ahmed Abdel-Meguid. “We are focused on making sure AUC is attractive and accessible to outstanding students from all areas of Egypt and from around the world. The Excellence Scholarship program, now in its second year, has allowed us to recruit top students from various secondary certificates.”

AUC additionally became more accessible to talented and deserving students this year with 460 scholarship recipients, including more than 180 students who were granted full-tuition coverage.

The highly competitive AUC Excellence Scholarship program, based on merit and financial need, brought in a diverse and talented pool of outstanding students this fall, hailing from Egypt, Bahrain, Germany, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Palestine, Syria and Sudan. In the program, the number of available slots, number of recipients, distribution, cutoff scores and tuition coverage vary between cohorts.

"The Excellence Scholarship program, now in its second year, has allowed us to recruit top students from various secondary certificates.”

Speaking at an event to recognize Excellence Scholarship recipients, President Ahmad Dallal said, “The Excellence Scholarship program is vital to our mission to provide world-class education to students, who demonstrate both exceptional academic potential and need. We are also seeking out students with strong leadership skills and a diverse range of non-academic talents. This program reflects AUC’s commitment to fostering excellence in higher education on a global level and preparing students to meaningfully contribute to their communities.”
