Centennial Coins

"I would like to present Frank and Marie with a memento of the centennial —a limited edition gold coin currency from the Egyptian Mint Authority. There are only 20 of them in the world. Designed by AUC students, the coin features two striped arches — representing arches on both campuses coming together to connect the past and the future — a portal to AUC."

Chair of the Board of Trustees Mark Turnage presented President Ricciardone with the centennial coins in appreciation of his work in leading AUC's centennial celebrations. 

Lighthouse Plaque

The unveiling of the Moon Rise and Sunset Observatory Plaque at the AUC Lighthouse Tower in honor of President Francis J. Ricciardone took place on Thursday, May 27.  Ricciardone had established, in AUC’s centennial year of 2019 the monthly tradition of opening this observation platform to all who wish to witness the rise of the full moon and its companion sunset. During the event, Chairman of the Board Mark Turnage presented Ricciardone with an Astrolabe as a gift on behalf of AUC's Board of Trustees. The event was also attended by Trustee Tarek Masoud, chair of the Presidential Search Committee, and AUC senior leadership.
