AUC to Turn Off Lights for International Earth Hour
For the first time, AUC will be officially participating as an institution in Earth Hour, a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about climate change by turning the lights off in populated areas. It was first organized by the the World Wildlife Fund in 2007, and has since engaged almost 170 countries and territories worldwide. AUC's University Residences first participated in 2011 and continue to host a candlelit gathering with acoustic music to celebrate each year. This year, AUC as a broader institution will participate by turning off the lights of the main walkway past the AUC Portal on Saturday, March 25 at 8:30 pm.
