AUC Wins Six Gold Medals at Fifth Sector Tournament

AUC came in second at the annual Fifth Sector Tournament, winning six gold, six silver and five bronze medals.

Facing off against eight other private universities in Egypt, AUC competed in 24 different sports, including football, five-a-side, water polo, volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis, table tennis, swimming, boxing, karate, taekwondo, speedball and bench press.

“It was a very successful tournament in terms of student achievement,” said Louise Bertini, athletics director. “There were many new sports added this year, and AUC students excelled at many of them. Our Eagles always make us proud.”
