Brilliant Minds: Women at AUC Break New Ground in Science

As a step toward achieving the goal of total and complete equality for women and girls in science, the United Nations declared February 11 the International Day for Women and Girls in Science.  While the United Nations notes that the past 15 years have seen a marked increase in the number of women and girls engaging in scientific pursuits, much remains to be done. AUC faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, and alumnae have made dramatic strides to close this gap.
