Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Graduate: From Accountant to Entrepreneur
Since graduating from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program at AUC in 2011, Reem Fawzy has created both a successful tourism company and Pink Taxi, a service specifically designed for women.
In 2009, Fawzy created Rimo Tours, a full-service tourism company, which originally began as a transportation service. After greatly expanding Rimo Tours, Fawzy developed a passion for community development and created Pink Taxi, Egypt's first taxi service specialized for female passengers and drivers. The company provides safe travel for women throughout Cairo and also trains female drivers.
For her innovative work with Pink Taxi, Fawzy has been featured extensively in the Egyptian press and was asked to attend the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting in New York, representing the 10,000 Women program.
