Ten Faculty Members Among Top 2% Impactful Scientists Globally
Ten faculty members from AUC's School of Sciences and Engineering have been named in the Stanford University- Elsevier list of the top 2% most-cited scientists in various disciplines worldwide.
The database is created by experts at Stanford University, based on data from Elsevier’s Scopus, "the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature." The database includes the top 2% scientists in 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields and provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
"Since coming to SSE, I have always described its faculty as those who have regional expertise with global impact. The placement of several of our faculty in the 2% most impactful, globally, substantiates that belief," said Hassan El-Fawal, dean of SSE.
