1. Campus 2026
As part of AUC’s visionary Campus 2026 project, three additional buildings are underway to develop the New Cairo campus for future generations: NextGen Student Living and Learning Spaces; Technology, Research and Innovation Lab (TRI-Lab); and Extended Education Hub.
2. AUC’s Rare Van Leo Collection on Display at UCLA Hammer Museum
AUC's Van Leo photographic collection was on display at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles as part of the Becoming Van Leo exhibition, the first international survey of work by the iconic Armenian-Egyptian artist.
3. Students in the Spotlight
Students Win 'Most Novel Idea' for Total Artificial Heart Design
AUC undergraduate and graduate students won the Most Novel Idea award at the global Heart Hackathon.
AUC’s Cairo International Model United Nations Wins Highest Number of Awards in New York
AUC’s CIMUN took home 14 awards at the National Model United Nations in New York, making AUC the most-awarded university at the conference.
Chemistry for a Cause: Finding Sustainable Alternative to Oils
AUC students won first place worldwide in a competition to develop sustainable alternatives to oils to reduce their carbon emissions.
4. AUC, Tübingen Launch Joint Degree
The Master of Arts in comparative and Middle East politics and society with the University of Tübingen in Germany is AUC’s first joint degree and the first master's degree in political science accredited in Germany, Egypt and the United States.

Honored with a Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Award rom the International Union of Architects or her Autism Friendly University Design Guide
Hesham Sallam
Institute of Global Health and Human Ecology
Received the Robert Lynn Caroll Award for his leading work in the field of vertebrate paleontology and discovered a new species of extinct whale that inhabited the sea covering present-day Egypt around 41 million years ago

Department of the Arts
Received the Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences award from Times Higher Education for Msh Zanbik (It's Not Your Fault) collaborative research project
Tamer ElBatt
Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Selected as an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer, completing tours in Malaysia, Kenya and the United Arab Emirates. He is the only IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer affiliated with Egypt or Africa in the 2023-2024 class and the second since the program started in 2005

8. Packing for Palestine
Donations to Palestine relief efforts were collected on campus at the Student Union-organized Egyptian Red Crescent booth, and AUC community members volunteered to pack 200 aid boxes for Palestine, organized by Misr El Kheir Foundation and AUC's Student Union and Mashroo3 Kheir student organization.
AUC Road to College Provides Free, Online English Courses for High School Students
AUC is the first educational institution in the region to offer free, English-language online courses for high school students in Egypt.
AUC Leads School-University Partnerships to Enhance Sustainability, Engagement in Public Schools
A new outreach initiative by AUC is creating school-university partnerships that empower public school students and foster sustainability.
