Degrees and Admission Requirements
Students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in physics or a physics minor should meet the minimum academic and admission requirements set by AUC.
Learning Outcomes
Students enrolled in the physics program will:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts of classical and modern physics, including mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics and relativity.
- Be able to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions based on scientific evidence and critical thinking.
- Be proficient in the mathematical techniques and problem-solving skills required to solve complex physics problems.
- Be able to communicate scientific concepts and findings effectively, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the interdisciplinary nature of physics and its applications in other fields, such as engineering, medicine and technology.
Interdepartmental and Interdisciplinary Programs in Physics
Provides students with basic and applied knowledge in solar energy, which is currently of prime importance towards more utilization of green energy.
Double Major in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECNG) and Physics
Through an extra semester for ECNG students and in collaboration with ECNG department, the double-qualified students are provided with cutting-edge knowledge as they understand the application and the theory behind it, which makes them very attractive in the job market.
Double Major in Mechanical Engineering (MENG) and Physics
Through an extra semester for MENG students and in collaboration with MENG department, the double-qualified students are provided with cutting-edge knowledge as they understand the application and the theory behind it, which makes them very attractive in the job market.
