Investment Climate Assessment (ICA)
The ICA studies are a component of SRC work in the area of contribution to economic development. SRC work in this area is composed of two tracks. The first track is mainly driven by a demand from The Ministry of Investment and The World Bank in a series of Investment climate surveys (ICA). This activity was conducted by SRC from beginning September 2004 and till now. The objective is to support the Ministry of Investment in designing its priority reforms and to provide quantitative measurements of the nature of challenges and hence allowing reform recommendations. The series of ICA surveys covers the manufacturing, trade and services companies in both formal and informal sectors. In addition ICA surveys included additional workers and gender module.
The second track was an ambitious initiative supported by Ford Foundation to Contribute to inclusive growth in Suez Canal region. Both tracks have been affected by the research environment in Egypt. Table provides relevant funding information. View our Policy Brief on Investment Climate Assessment.
