A revival of 1950s Egyptian songs, the Egyptian Jazz Project (EJP) was founded in 2015 by Ahmed Harfoush, an Egyptian jazz vocalist based in London whose traditional repertoire is American jazz and swing, musical theater, and contemporary hits.
