Endowed Scholarships
Endowed scholarships provide, in perpetuity, partial or full financial support to deserving students. Endowed scholarship funds are placed in income-producing funds, with the earned income used every year to help support one or more student(s).
ABB SUSA Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1994, by ABB SUSA, Inc. to support one student with financial need majoring in construction engineering with a grade-point average of 3.50/4.00 or higher.
Abdulhadi H. Taher Endowed Scholarships
Established in 2018, by the late Dr. Abdulhadi Hassan Taher to support Egyptian and Saudi students who demonstrate financial need and outstanding academic performance. The fund also provides housing for students from outside of Cairo.
Ahmed and Rania Ismail Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2021, by Mrs. Rania Ismail '95 and Mr. Ahmed Galal Ismail '97 to support the tuition and fees for one student with a learning disability or any other disability until graduation. The fund will support a student declaring any major at AUC, who has demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, and financial need.
Alton and Barbara Harvill Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1990, by the late Dr. Alton M. Harvill, Jr. to support an American student to study at AUC.
American Chamber of Commerce Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1992, by the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt), to support one Egyptian student majoring in either business administration, management or economics based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
Apache Corporation Endowed Scholarships
Established in 2010, by Apache Corporation to provide partial scholarships to two academically outstanding Egyptian students in their sophomore or junior year who are majoring in petroleum and energy engineering. Selection is based on financial need as well as merit. In order to be eligible, a student should have a GPA of a minimum of 3.0 and will be required to maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.0.
Armenian Evangelical Congregational Church of Cairo Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1999, by multiple donors to support undergraduate students of Armenian origin. Selection is based on financial need as well as merit.
Ashraf Marwan Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1996, by the late Dr. Ashraf Marwan to support an Egyptian student based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
AT&T Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by AT&T Foundation to support Egyptian students majoring in engineering or computer science. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Atef and Fofa Eltoukhy Family Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2012, by Dr. Atef Helmy Eltoukhy '74 and Mrs. Fofa Eltoukhy to provide support to one Egyptian student based on an assessment of his or her leadership skills, financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.
Attijariwafa Bank Egypt Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by Attijariwafa Bank Egypt S.A.E., to support Egyptian students majoring in either business administration or computer science based on their academic merit and financial need.
AUC Alumni Endowed Scholarships
Established in 1983, by multiple donors to support Egyptian and Arab children of AUC alumni. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
AUC Centennial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2019, by multiple donors to support students with financial need and academic merit.
Ayman Korra Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2006, by engineer Mohamed Ayman Korra to support one student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient must be majoring in engineering and should maintain a grade-point average of 3.40/4.00. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Bassam Jabr ’63 Endowed Palestinian Scholarship
Established in 2001, by Mr. Bassam Mahmoud Jabr '63 to support a Palestinian student based on his or her financial need.
Beatrice and Roger Carlson Endowed Prize in Academic Merit
Established in 1985, by the late Mr. Richard Stegeman to provide a cash prize to a female student who has demonstrated academic excellence and financial need, so she may purchase books.
BG Egypt Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2009, by BG Egypt to cover the tuition of one student from an Egyptian public school for his or her five-year study in the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Egypt Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1997, by Bristol-Myers Squibb Egypt to support students based on their academic merit and financial need.

Citigroup Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by Citibank Egypt to support an Egyptian junior or senior majoring in either business administration or computer science who demonstrates leadership qualities, high academic standing, and financial need.
Colgate-Palmolive Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by Colgate-Palmolive Company to support an Egyptian student. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Credit Agricole Bank Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1988, by Credit Agricole Egypt, S.A.E. to support one student majoring in business administration based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
David Vernon Bullough Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by the late Dr. Vern L. Bullough to support Egyptian students based on their academic merit and financial need.
DHL Egypt Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1986, DHL International (Egypt) WLL to support an Egyptian student majoring in business administration. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Douglas Horton Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by the Horton family and friends in memory of former chairman of the Board of Trustees, by the late Douglas Horton, to support an Egyptian student based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
Dow Chemical Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1986, by the Dow Chemical Company to support Egyptian students majoring in either chemistry or engineering based on their academic merit and financial need.
Dr. Abdel Hamid El Sawy '72 Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by Dr. Abdel Hamid El Sawy '72 to support Egyptian students based on their academic merit and financial need.
Dr. Aboul Fetouh Shahine Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by Dr. and Mrs. Hussein A. Shahine to support Egyptian students based on their academic merit and financial need.
Dr. Ahmed and Ann M. El-Mokadem Study Abroad Scholarship
Established in 2010 and renewed in 2017, by Dr. Ahmed and Mrs. Ann El-Mokadem to support undergraduate Egyptian students who demonstrate outstanding performance and financial need.
Dr. Akef El Maghraby Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2003, Dr. Akef Amin El Maghraby supports talented students from Egyptian public schools. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Dr. and Mrs. A. Livingston Warnshuis Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1987, by in memory of Dr. and Mrs. A. Livingston and Ms. M. Chambers Warnshuis by family members, to support students based on their academic merit and financial need, with preference given to students from Africa and India. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Dr. Mamdouh Sharafeldin Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2014, by Mr. Ahmed Mamdouh Sharafeldin '91 to support one Egyptian student from an Egyptian public school. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
FAR Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2024, by Ms. Laurie Fitch, to support Egyptian students from Egyptian public schools studying Egyptology in the first instance, or the study of Egypt (history, anthropology, architecture, sociology, political science, etc). If there are no students fitting the criteria, then the scholarship will support Egyptian students from public schools studying any other subject. Students in both cases should demonstrate academic merit and financial need. The scholarship will cover the student’s tuition, fees, and stipend.
Galal El Zorba Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2004, by Mr. Galal A. El Zorba to support an outstanding student from an Egyptian public school, who demonstrates financial need and academic merit.
General Electric Endowed Scholarships
Established in 1984, by GE Foundation to support Egyptian students based on their academic merit and financial need.
Georgiana Stevens Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1982, by Mrs. Georgiana G. Stevens to support Egyptian students, who demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
Ghaleb El Farouki '33 Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by the late Mr. Ghaleb El Farouki '33 to support a Palestinian student based on his or her financial need.
GlobalSantaFe Corporation Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2002, by GlobalSantaFe Corporation to support outstanding engineering students from Egyptian public schools based on their academic merit and financial need.
Gretchen and David Welch Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2023, by Mrs. Gretchen Gerwe Welch and Ambassador C. David Welch, to partially support undergraduate students in perpetuity. Selection of the recipient(s) will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students studying Islamic art, architecture, urban planning, and visual or theatre arts.
Hayel Saeed Endowed Scholarships
Established in 1994, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Hayel Saeed '68 to cover tuition, housing, board, textbooks, medical insurance, and local medical services for Yemeni students who meet the University requirements for admission. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Hermann F. Eilts Endowed International Scholarship
Established in 2007 in memory of Ambassador Hermann F. Eilts, a former member of AUC's Board of Trustees, this scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in a US university or college who wish to study Middle East studies, political science, or history courses at AUC. It is awarded initially for one semester and is renewable for a second semester based on academic progress. It can be used to cover tuition and/or AUC housing.
Hisham Ezz Al Arab Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2010 by Mr. Hisham Ezz Al Arab and Mr. Timothy C. Collins to provide partial scholarship support to one honors student in his/her junior and senior years, who is majoring in accounting, business administration, or economics. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Hosna Rachid Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2024 to partially support undergraduate students in perpetuity, the selection of recipient(s) will bе based on student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
HSBC Bank Egypt Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2007, by HSBC Bank Egypt S.A.E. to support one student from an Egyptian public school who is enrolled in a finance-related major such as accounting, business administration, or economics. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
IBM Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1990, IBM World Trade Corporation - Egypt to support Egyptian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Iman Elshahidi Study Abroad Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2021, by multiple donors in memory of Mrs. Iman Elshahidi, to support Egyptian undergraduate students who graduated from a government school. The scholarship will cover the students’ expenses during their study abroad exchange program (housing, stipend, travel, etc.). It is awarded for one semester to a student who demonstrates academic merit and financial need.

Established in 2006, by Dr. Mahmoud Khalil Dabbous to support one student from an Egyptian public school. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
John and Gail Gerhart Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2002, by multiple donors in memory of the late AUC President Dr. John Gerhart, to support students from Egyptian public schools. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
John and Marguerite Harbert Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1986, by the late Mr. John M. Harbert III to support one Egyptian student. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Johnson & Johnson Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1990, by Johnson & Johnson to support students majoring in management based on their academic merit and financial need.
Joseph Van Vleck Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2011, by the Louise Moore Pine Trust to support two Egyptian students (one male and one female), who come from outside of Cairo and demonstrate academic merit and financial need.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Scholarships
Established in 2015, by Dr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Hon LHD to provide tuition and accommodation to a total of 10 outstanding Egyptian students who come from outside of Cairo. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Liu Shiming Scholarship
Established in 2023, by the Liu Shiming Art Foundation, the scholarship should support in perpetuity one undergraduate Egyptian student, preference will be given to a student of visual arts, graphic design or cultural studies.
Louise H. and David S. Ingalls Foundation Public School Scholarship for Women
Established in 2018, by the Louise H. and David S. Ingalls Foundation to support Egyptian females from public schools coming from outside of Cairo to pursue an undergraduate degree at AUC. Candidates should demonstrate academic merit and financial need.
Magdy Tolba Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2006, by engineer Magdy Tolba to support one student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high grade-point average. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Mahmoud Muftah Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1991, by Int'l Company for Gum & Confectionery INCOGUM, in memory of its marketing manager, Mahmoud Muftah to support one Egyptian student majoring in business administration. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Major General Ahmed Arafa Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2005, by Dr. Alaa Ahmed Arafa to support students from Egyptian public schools. The recipients should maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.40/4.00. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Mahy Khalifa Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2024 by Dr. Dina Shehata in memory of her mother Mrs. Mahy Khalifa, to partially support the tuition and fees of one undergraduate Egyptian student at a time, who demonstrates academic merit and financial need.

Established in 2024, by Mr. Mark Turnage to partially support undergraduate Palestinian students in perpetuity. Selection of the recipient(s) will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.

Established in 2015, by the late Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim A. Allehedan to support Arab students (females or males) in the following fields: mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, energy and petroleum, water and environment, economics, and development. Acceptance will be based on merit and financial need.
Molly Bartlett Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2011, by Mr. Richard and Mrs. Kerri Bartlett in honor of Mrs. Molly Bartlett, to provide support to one male Egyptian and one female Egyptian student who attended an Egyptian public high school. Selection is based on an assessment of leadership skills, financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Established in 2007, by Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Abdel-Wadood '91 to support one student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high grade-point average. Selection is based on an assessment of financial need and academic achievement.
Nora Jasmin Abousteit Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2023, by Ms. Nora Jasmin Abousteit to partially support undergraduate students preferably females in perpetuity. Selection of recipient(s) will be based on student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
Omar Mohsen Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2012, by multiple donors in memory of the late Omar Mohsen, to support a student athlete who attended an Egyptian public high school, based on financial need and academic achievement.

Established in 2020, by Ms. Omnia Abdullah Bakhsh '98 to support one student majoring in any field of engineering. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.

Established in 1998, by Procter & Gamble - Egypt to support students, the selection is based on student's academic merit and financial need.
Parents Association (PA) Endowed Scholarship
Established by the 1997-1999 PA Board to support junior or senior students who face emergency situations and financial crises during the course of their study at AUC. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
PepsiCo Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1982, by PepsiCo to support an Egyptian student majoring in business administration or marketing based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
R. D. Matthews Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1982, by multiple donors in memory of Dr. Ralph Douglas, Dr. Roderic Matthews, Dr. Earl Moser, and Dr. Herbert Vandersall to support Egyptian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
RAM Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by Mr. Mousa R. Murad to support a Palestinian student majoring in engineering or computer science. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Raytheon Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1986, Raytheon Overseas Ltd. supports an Egyptian student in the engineering department. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Riad Kamal Palestinian Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2006, by engineer Riad Burhan Kamal to provide partial support to five Palestinian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Roger E. Tamraz '60 Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1982, by Mr. Roger E. Tamraz '60 to support an Egyptian student. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Santa Fe Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1995, by GlobalSantaFe International Corporation to support Egyptian students majoring in the humanities or social sciences. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Shell Egypt N.V Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2013, by Shell Egypt N.V. to provide partial tuition support for up to two students in the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering who meet a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.40/4.00 and demonstrate financial need.
Shell Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1996, by Shell Egypt N.V. to support an Egyptian student based on his or her academic merit and financial need.
Sheta Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1983, by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Mohsen Sheta to support Egyptian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Simpson Endowed Scholarships for Year-Abroad Program in Egyptology
Established in 2003, by the late Dr. William Kelly Simpson Hon LHD to support undergraduate and graduate non-degree students who demonstrate academic merit and seek to study Egyptology at AUC, with a preference given to those enrolled in US colleges and universities.
Stone & Webster Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1985, by Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation to support Egyptian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Taher Family Endowed Scholarships
Established in 2005, by the late Dr. Abdulhadi Hassan Taher to support Palestinian students based on their financial needs and academic merit.
Teresa C. Barger Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2024 by Ms. Teresa C. Barger, to partially support undergraduate preferably Egyptian male students in perpetuity. Selection of the recipient(s) will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. The fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
The Gratus Scholarship
Established in 2020, and endowed in 2021 by Mr. Bishoy Emad Azmy’02 and Mrs. Mary Habib’05, to support one undergraduate Egyptian student from upper Egypt, who demonstrates academic merit and financial need.
Thomas A. Lamont Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1998, by AUC's Board of Trustees in memory of Dr. Thomas A. Lamont who served AUC with distinction, both in his capacity as teacher and as a senior administrator, from 1975 to 1998 to award English and comparative literature seniors whose performance during the first three years demonstrates outstanding ability and excellent academic achievement.
Torgersen Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1993, by Mr. and Mrs. David Torgersen to support Egyptian students majoring in the sciences. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Wadi Degla Endowed Scholarship Fund for Student Athletes
Established in 2015, by Wadi Degla Investment to provide scholarships to outstanding Egyptian student athletes. Selection is also based on financial need.
Wafiya El Hassany '48, '50 Endowed Scholarships
Established in 1976, by the late Mrs. Wafiya El Hassany '48, '50 to support one Egyptian male student and one female student, preferably Palestinian, based on their academic merit and financial need.
Warner-Lambert Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1986, by Warner-Lambert Company to support students based on their academic merit and financial need.
Wasef Jabsheh '67 Jordanian - Palestinian Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2006, by Mr. Wasef Salim Jabsheh '67 to provide partial support two students from Jordan or Palestine. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Wefaq Fahmy Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2009, by EIM Group to cover tuition and books for a student from an Egyptian public school. The recipient should maintain a high grade-point average. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Xerox Egypt Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1994, by Xerox Egypt S.A.E. to support Egyptian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Xerox Foundation Endowed Scholarships
Established in 1986, by Xerox Foundation to partially support Egyptian and other foreign students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Yahiya Arafa Endowed Public School Scholarship
Established in 2006, by Dr. Alaa Ahmed Arafa to support one student from an Egyptian public school.
Yasmina Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1990, by Yasmina Company for Cosmetics to support an Egyptian student. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Youssef Nabih Endowed Scholarship in Accounting
Established in 2004, by the late Mr. Youssef Ayyad Nabih to award the graduating senior with the highest grade-point average in the Department of Accounting.

Annual Scholarships
Current scholarships provide partial or full financial support to deserving students until graduation of the student.
Abdallah Abbas Sharbatly Scholarship
Established in 2024 by Mr. Seifallah Mohammed Sharbatly, to fully support one undergraduate Egyptian or Arab female student. The scholarship will cover the student’s tuition, fees, and stipend.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Public School Scholarship
Established in 2019, by Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait - Egypt to support one Egyptian student who is academically outstanding but financially underprivileged. The student should be from a public school or an experimental language school.
Al Ghurair STEM Scholarships
Established in 2016, by Abdulla Al Ghurair Education Program Ltd (AGEP) to support STEM students who are academically outstanding but financially underprivileged.
Attijariwafa Bank Public School Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
Established in 2019, by Attijariwafa Bank Egypt S.A.E. to support one public school graduate with a physical or learning disability who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and leadership.
Dr. Hamza Alkholi Public School Scholarship
Established in 2019, by Dr. Hamza Bahey El Din Alkholi to support a student who graduated from a public school with financial need and academic merit.
Dr. Osman Abousteit Award for Exchanges to Germany
Established in 2018, by Ms. Nora Abousteit '00 and Mr. Joshua Cooper Ramo to provide financial support to undergraduate AUC students to further their education through study, travel, or work in Germany. The award must support a least two students per year who have demonstrated financial need and have a GPA of at least 3.4. Eligible students must meet all of AUC's requirements for study abroad, including proof of student exchange, internship, or artist residence in Germany.
Egyptian Refining Company Public School Scholarship
Established in 2017, by Egyptian Refining Company and renewed for the eighth cohort, to support a student who is academically outstanding but financially underprivileged. The student should be from a public school located in Matareya, Khosos or Shark Shubra El Kheima (Mostorod).
Ehab Abou-Oaf & Jaylan El-Zoheiry Scholarship
Established in 2022 by Mr. Ehab Abou-Oaf '89 and Mrs. Jaylan El-Zoheiry '90, '94 to support a full scholarship for one student (preferably female) studying towards a bachelor's degree in arts, business, or science. The selected scholar should demonstrate academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover tuition, fees, housing, transportation, books, and the stipend of the scholar.
Gretchen and David Welch Scholarship
Established in 2023, by Mrs. Gretchen Gerwe Welch and Ambassador C. David Welch, to partially support undergraduate students. Selection of the recipient(s) will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. Iman Elshahidi Study Abroad Scholarship
This fund was established in 2021, by Dr. Ehab Abdel-Rahman in memory of Mrs. Iman Elshahidi, to support Egyptian undergraduate students who graduated from a government school. The scholarship will cover the student's expenses during their study abroad exchange program (housing, stipend, etc.). It is awarded for one semester to a student who demonstrates academic merit and financial need. This fund will support students in Fiscal Year 2022 and Fiscal Year 2023.
Internships Abroad Scholarship Fund
Established in 2021 by multiple donors to support students interning outside of Egypt. This fund will support travel, accommodation, and other related expenses of needy students.
Liu Shiming Scholarship
Established in 2023, by the Liu Shiming Art Foundation, the scholarship should support one undergraduate Egyptian student, preference will be given to a student of visual arts, graphic design or cultural studies.
Lockheed Martin Public School Scholarship
Established in 2014, by Lockheed Martin Global, Inc. to support one outstanding student from an Egyptian public school who is studying in the School of Sciences and Engineering. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Malcom Kerr Public School Scholarship
Established in 2022, to support one undergraduate Egyptian public-school graduate from upper Egypt or the Asyut region majoring in one of the arts or science programs for up to four years of study.
Mark Turnage Scholarship
Established in 2024, by Mr. Mark Turnage to partially support undergraduate Palestinian students. Selection of the recipient will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
Nancy and Jonathan Wolf Study Abroad Scholarship
Established in 2019 by Mrs. Nancy Wolf and Mr. Jonathon Wolf to provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate AUC students who demonstrate financial need and meet all of AUC’s requirements for study abroad. The scholarship will be open to both undergraduate and graduate students at AUC in all disciplines of study who wish to study at the University of Central Florida (UCF) only. The stipend will be calculated according to the financial need assessment conducted by AUC's Office of Financial Affairs and Scholarships.
Nancy and Jonathan Wolf Study Abroad @College of Charleston Scholarship
Established in 2022 by Mrs. Nancy Wolf and Mr. Jonathon Wolf to support undergraduate and graduate students to study abroad for one semester or one year at the College of Charleston, South Carolina through the Student Exchange Program. Recipients must meet all of AUC's requirements for study abroad and must meet the enrollment requirements of the College of Charleston. The awarded amount will be calculated according to the financial need assessment conducted by AUC's Office of Financial Affairs and Scholarships.
Nevine Loutfy Scholarship
Established in 2019, by Mr. Assem Raouf Abdel Hady '16 to partially support the tuition and fees of two students (preferably female) in the School of Business, concentration in finance. The scholarship will be granted to students who demonstrate outstanding academic records and financial needs.
Nora Jasmin Abousteit Scholarship
Established in 2023, by Ms. Nora Jasmin Abousteit to partially support undergraduate students preferably females. Selection of recipient(s) will be based on student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
Palestinian Scholarship Fund
Established in 2001, by multiple donors to provide scholarship support to deserving and talented Palestinian students. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Public School Scholarship Fund
Established in 2000, by multiple donors to support students from Egyptian public schools based on their academic merit and financial need.
Shokry Diab Public School Scholarship (Cohort 2)
Established in 2014, by Ms. Farah Shokry Diab '14 and renewed in 2020 to support one female student from an Egyptian public school. Selection is based on students' academic merit and financial need.
Shokry Diab Public School Scholarship (Cohort 3)
Established in 2020, by Ms. Farah Shokry Diab '14, the scholarship will cover the tuition and fees of one Egyptian female student enrolled in a public university and wishes to transfer to AUC, the student should demonstrate sufficient merit and financial need.
Study Abroad Pooled Scholarships Fund (Incoming Students)
Established in 2019, by multiple donors to support undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrate academic merit to study at AUC for one semester (incoming students).
SU Scholarship Fund
Established in 2017, by multiple donors to support students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit and should also be involved in OSE sponsored club. The Office of Student Life verifies the student's affiliation.
Teresa C. Barger Scholarship
Established in 2024 by Ms. Teresa C. Barger, to partially support undergraduate preferably Egyptian male students. Selection of the recipient(s) will be based on the student's academic merit and financial need. The fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
The Hadhramout Foundation Scholarships for Yemeni Undergraduate Students
Established in 2019, by The Hadhramout Foundation for Human Development, the fund will support a total of 16 high-achieving Yemeni students, who wish to pursue their studies in one of the majors offered at AUC. Students need to demonstrate academic merit and financial need.
The Hosna Rachid Partial Scholarship
Established in 2021, by Ms. Hosna Rachid to partially support the tuition and fees of two Egyptian students (a male and a female), majoring in any discipline. The student should demonstrate sufficient merit and financial need.
The Pangburn, Ellis, LaBarge Study-Abroad Fund
Established in 2019, by multiple donors to partially support outstanding US graduate students wishing to study in any of the disciplines offered by AUC. Applicants should commit to utilizing their AUC experience to promote greater understanding and relations between Egypt and the United States.
Zeid Family Scholarship
Established in 2023 to partially support two undergraduate (non-engineering) students for four years. Selection of recipient(s) will be based on student's academic merit and financial need. The Fund will cover part of the tuition of the students.
