AUC Faculty Member Reshapes Universities' Infrastructure to Facilitate Education for Autistic Students

To facilitate education for students with autism, Magda Mostafa, associate professor at the Department of Architecture at The American University in Cairo (AUC) and international autism design expert, is currently working to deliver a Dublin City University (DCU) Autism-Friendly University Design Guide, in light of her expertise and development of the Autism ASPECTSS Design Index.

AUC Holds Media Virtual Discussion on the Impact of the U.S. Elections on Egypt and the Middle East

AUC held a Media Virtual Discussion yesterday titled: “The Impact of the U.S. Elections on Egypt and the Middle East.” Speakers were Bahgat Korany, professor of international relations and political economy at AUC, and Karim Haggag, professor of practice at AUC’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and director of the Prince Alwaleed Center for American Studies and Research.

AUC Faculty Win Egyptian State Prizes for Contributions in Science, Technology

Three faculty members at The American University in Cairo (AUC) recently won State Prizes in Science and Technology for their scientific contributions and achievements. The prizes were awarded by The Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

AUC and USAID Launch the First Virtual Career Fair For Egyptian Universities

AUC and USAID launched today the first Virtual Career Fair for Egyptian Universities UCCD 2020. The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, AUC President Francis Ricciardone, AUC Counselor Ashraf Hatem, USAID Egypt Mission Director Leslie Reed, and presidents of ten Egyptian public universities.

The Center of Excellence for Water at AUC is offering scholarships for public university engineering students to study water engineering at Ain Shams and Alexandria universities.
