October 1920 AUC Opens Doors to First Class of Students

On October 5, 1920, AUC welcomed the first 142 students who entered the University as part of the American College of Arts and Sciences, the initial unit of the American University at Cairo. Classes were equivalent to the last two years of high school and the first two years of University.
