Design Thinking Workshops
Design Thinking challenges focus on multi-disciplinary teams who follow an iterative process to discover user needs, struggles and aspirations, and design user-centered solutions that are technically feasible and financially viable.
Showcase:
Over three dynamic rounds of challenges since June 2021, the AUC-Mountain View Design Thinking Challenges have been a catalyst for innovation. Students have immersed themselves in creative problem-solving, redefining residential compound living experiences, crafting urban environments that foster true happiness, and reimagining retail spaces for enhanced customer engagement. These immersive workshops have not only sharpened their skills but also opened doors to internships at Mountain View HQ for a total of 36 participants.
Futures Lab
Future labs represent a special product where a combined mix of methodologies and facilitation tools allow partners to envisage alternative futures to the focused industry. Based on alternative futures, different bold scenarios would be developed to allow strategically those partners address the imagined future.

“What If Cities Lead Egypt's Green Transition Exploring Avenues to Regenerative Real Estate in Egypt” – 2022. The Futures Lab convened a highly selective cohort of business leaders, academics, community and policymakers to develop a bold vision for the future of urban communities in Egypt in the face of climate change.
Innovation Summit
This annual event gathers stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem in one space, where they explore the latest trends, present showcases and connect with fellow innovators.
Policy Dialogue and Roundtables
Dedicated to driving policy dialogues and roundtables, the AUC Innovation Hub is committed to nurturing impactful discussions that significantly influence our innovation ecosystem. Recognizing the vital role of policy within this ecosystem, we provide a vital platform for addressing and discussing key policy matters that steer our focus verticals. This initiative stands as a crucial intervention in our quest to shape the future of innovation

'Building a Roadmap for Insurtech' roundtable: Joined by 15 brilliant speakers, including industry leaders, insurtech entrepreneurs, Financial Regulatory Authority key representatives, and Insurance Federation of Egypt executives, we dived into the latest innovations shaping the insurtech ecosystem. From discussing market regulations to exploring entrepreneurial opportunities, we explored the micro and macro insurance landscape in Egypt.
Monthly Mixer
These events are recurring monthly gatherings aimed at fostering a sense of community and collaboration among AUC Innovation Hub stakeholders. Monthly mixers provide a casual and friendly environment for networking, knowledge exchange, and building connections among partners, faculty, students, and external guests.

in collaboration with Endeavor Egypt, we hosted our monthly mixer event, coinciding with Endeavor Egypt's 40th Local Selection Panel (LSP) for three promising businesses. This special occasion brought together entrepreneurs, mentors, and esteemed panelists, creating a dynamic atmosphere of networking, interviews with the entrepreneurs, and insightful deliberations.
Innovation Ideathons and Hackathons
These engaging events unite students, faculty, industry experts, and startups in competitive challenge design sessions. The main goal is to collectively tackle specific innovation challenges and co-create effective solutions.

AUC Innovation Sprint is a challenge for entrepreneurs organized by the AUC Innovation Hub, powered by OXFAM and DAPP and in partnership with Wuzzuf, Egypt's biggest online recruitment job site, and Klickit, a payment management and digital collections platform. Innovative solutions were crafted, and the winning team earned a prize of LE 10,000.
In partnership with the Office of the Vice President for Management and Operations, AUC students, staff, and faculty gathered together in our latest design challenge on “how to improve students’ campus experience.”
