Move-in Guidelines

Move-in Dates and Procedures 

If you are moving in this Spring 2025, you should familiarize yourself with these guidelines:
 

Move-in Dates

Students may move in only on two days: either January 28, 2025 or February 1, 2025, from 9 am to 4 pm. Move-in requests will not be processed outside those days. Any student who moves in outside the designated two days will be charged a move-in service fee of $27 per night.

Arrival and Move-in

  • Upon your arrival to the reception area, the Office of Residential Life staff and Residence Advisors (RA's) will do a visual verification of your AUC ID prior to processing your check-in.

  • If you have not received an AUC ID yet, you should have your acceptance letter and a government-issued photo ID ready to process your check-in.

  • The RA will ask you to fill out the online check-in form before providing you with access to your room.

ID Issuance and Activation

  • Returning students IDs will be activated upon their arrival at the designated ID Activation Unit. The activation unit is located in the on-campus common area on January 28, 2025, or February 1, 2025, from 9 am to 4 pm.

  • New students will receive a spare key-card after processing their check-in paperwork. They will be required to visit the ID Center (located in the administration building) to issue and activate their AUC IDs. The ID Center’s working hours are Sunday - Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm.

  • Students who coordinate an after-hours check-in, or arrive on a weekend, will be given a spare key-card to their room.

  • All spare key cards must be returned by February 3, 2025.

Storage Pick-up Schedule

  • It will be either January 28, 2025, or February 1, 2025 from 9 a to 4 pm.

  • Near-Campus Buildings: Call Mahmoud Ramadan at 012.2413.6856.

  • On-Campus Residence: Call Hossam Ismail at  012.2809.9946.

Club Cars

  • Club cars are available to transport you and your luggage from EP1 Gate to the on-campus residence’s entrance on January 28, 2025 or February 1, 2025, from 9 am to 4 pm.


*Students arriving in Cairo via international flights should arrange an after-hours check-in by sending their ETAs to [email protected] at least 48 hours before arrival.
