Celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities
AUC celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at Tahrir Square through the AccessAUC initiative.
Guided by global standards, AUC offers comprehensive support services, including the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) unit, assistive technology, counseling, and tailored accommodations. Physical accessibility is prioritized with wheelchair-friendly pathways, accessible residences and an inclusive sports complex. Scholarships for students with disabilities further emphasize AUC's dedication to equity, alongside faculty workshops and awareness programs promoting self-advocacy. The newly launched PWD Employee Mentorship and Development Program prepares participants with essential skills and training for professional success.
To further support employees with disabilities, AUC is launching a new mentorship and development program designed to offer job upskilling, communication skills development and English-language proficiency training as needed.
