About the Program
Prior to being granted full admission to AUC graduate departments, students must demonstrate proficiency in English that is adequate for advanced graduate studies. English placement is determined by the students' scores on the TOEFL and/or IELTS. For detailed information, review AUC's requirements for graduate admission. Incoming graduate students who must strengthen their English proficiency to ensure success in their studies may be placed in one of the following AEG courses:
- Intensive Academic English for Graduates Program
o Intensive Intermediate English (ELIN 0301)
o Intensive Advanced English (ELIN 0302) - Academic English Modules for Graduates
o Effective Academic Writing (ENGL 0310)
o Academic Reading (ENGL 0311)
o Listening and Speaking (ENGL 0312)
The Center for Student Well-Being has a staff of trained people available to help students with various types of problems. Students may go there and inquire about the different services that are available.

Computer Literacy
Students are expected to have basic computer skills before beginning their ELI courses.
