Study Abroad Programs
AUC students can study abroad through two program types:
- Exchange
- Direct Enroll

Exchange Program
About the Exchange Program
- Option to study abroad at a host university made possible by a bilateral agreement between AUC and the host university
- Students pay the standardized fees of the exchange program equivalent to 15 credit hours
- Students are responsible for any other costs related to the program (e.g., housing, visas, etc.)
- AUC scholarships often apply to the cost of AUC tuition applied during an exchange program
- Students are eligible to apply for the AUC study abroad scholarships
- Partner universities are already pre-approved by the International Programs and Services Office (IPSO)
- Availability is competitive and based on:
- Validity of agreement between AUC and the partner university
- Number of spaces per each host university
Direct Enroll
About Direct Enroll
Students directly apply to any university for a semester/year abroad.
- Tuition is based on the host university rates
- Students get to choose their university/program of choice
- Students must request approval from IPSO during the study abroad application cycle to ensure the partner university is vetted and an accredited university
- Financial aid and AUC scholarships do not apply to expenses or tuition fees at host university
- Students must apply for an official leave of absence before the deadline prior to departure for the semester they will be studying
Students can study abroad during either the fall or spring semester or during the summer term.
